Terms
Your words are yours
When you send a message to a representative through People's Branch, you are the author. We transmit it on your behalf, with your name on it, the way you wrote it. We do not edit your words, we do not soften your tone, and we do not filter profanity. Being angry at the people in power is not a violation of anything. It is often the point.
The one hard line
True threats of violence and harassment are prohibited. Sending them ends your account. That is the whole list: no threats, no harassment, everything else that is lawful speech to your government is yours to say.
Review of reported or flagged content is done by a person, not by software. We do not automatically scan, score, or block what you write.
The service
- People's Branch shows public legislative information and helps you act on it. We work to keep it accurate and honest, and we correct what we get wrong, but the official record always lives with Congress.
- Accounts can be anonymous or linked to Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for what your account does.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple and follow Apple's subscription terms. You can cancel any time in your Apple account settings.
- We may update these terms. When we do, the changes will be in plain language here, with the date below.
